USER SERVICES & CIRCULATION
The Lee and Jim Vann Library staff serves USF students, faculty and staff. The library is also accessible to alumni and those with established relationships or affiliations with the university. The general public may use the library on a limited basis.
The Lee and Jim Vann Library staff supports the principles of fair use. Placement of copyrighted materials on reserve is considered fair use under U.S. Copyright Law only during the first semester the materials are used.
Library instruction is tied to the information literacy standards as set forth by the Association of College and Research Libraries. Work with a librarian to schedule and customize a library session best suited to your students’ needs.
The library collections will not always be able to provide all of the materials needed by the USF community. The interlibrary loan service ensures that users will be able to obtain additional information from a variety of external sources.
The display cases in the Lee and Jim Vann Library are available for use by the campus community. Groups and individuals are encouraged to exhibit items of interest that are relevant to the university, its values or mission.
For more information, contact Public Services & Reference Librarian Cindy Kump.
The Lee and Jim Vann Library staff welcomes gifts of library materials, especially materials that fill existing gaps in our collection and support the curriculum and mission of USF.
The library also welcomes monetary donations for the purchase of materials. Monetary donations to the library should be made through the USF Office of Institutional Advancement. If you require additional information on how to make a donation to the library, contact Maureen McMahan or find more details on our Donations page.
