Looking for help with the research process? These tutorials will help you learn to search our databases and find the resources you need. 

R2 Digital Library for Health Sciences

The new Rittenhouse R2 Digital Library collection is a database of full-text e-books for nursing, medicine, and allied health. Content includes titles from STM (scientific, technical, and medical) publishers with emphasis on Doody's core titles and Brandon Hill titles. The R2 interface is optimized for the health sciences with features including integrated drug name, topic, and disease indices, and pass-through linking to PubMed and MeSH searching.

New Graduate Nursing Programs

The Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nurse Anesthesia (BSN-DNP) and the Post-MSN Doctor of Nursing Practice programs will be starting soon. View our book list for the DNP program which includes print and electronic titles now available in the library.

Equipment Loans

Do you need a laptop, camera, or microphone? Vann Library provides a variety of equipment available for checkout from the User Services desk.

Device Charging Stations

Two device charging stations have been placed in the library for students and faculty use. One station is located near the service desk on the 2nd floor of the library and another is located in the Collaboratory. Happy charging!

Call 260-638-VANN (8266) or text 260-222-5054  for help! University of Saint Francis librarians are generally available to meet with you between the hours of 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and by appointment at other times.

For individual assistance, please call, text, or stop by the Information Desk, located on the 2nd floor of the Library. No appointment is necessary.

Do you need videos or electronic books? Try searching these collections for films and e-books. Please note: a complete list of databases and subscriptions based resources can be found by clicking the Databases A-Z icon along the right-hand side of the page.

  • ProQuest Ebook Central - Ebook Central offers authoritative ebooks in a wide range of subject areas, along with tools to help you find, use, and manage the information you need.
  • EBSCO eBook Collection - Search and view the full text of thousands of electronic titles covering a broad range of academic disciplines.

Library Hours

The Pope John Paul II building is accessible Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the summer semesters and 24 hours a day during regular semester hours. This includes access to the Cyber Fresh Café. Vann Library hours are listed in the table below.

Starting Monday, August 28th we will be on our Fall Semester Schedule. However, the library will be closed Labor Day Weekend Saturday, September 2nd- Monday, September 4th.

Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 12 p.m. - 10 p.m.
